The Music Industries Association of Canada (MIAC) has announced that its national trade event, the PAL show, will assume a new date and location, May 16-17, 2010, at the Direct Energy Centre, Exhibition Place in Toronto.
For the past six years, the show has been held during late August at the Toronto International Centre, 6900 Airport Road.
“We believe the move to May next year will be a positive one for our show,” said Julio Cotellesso, incoming MIAC Chairman/President. “Over the last few years, a late summer show has been more difficult for exhibitors and attendees to participate in. We trust this new change will be positively received by the Canadian Industry and our international colleagues."
During its 38-year history, the Association has moved its show to various facilities, while alternating between Toronto and Montreal. The re-positioning of the show to May 2010 will address exhibitor and attendee requirements, exploiting the optimal time of year for our national trade event.
“We are excited about the possibilities of our show’s move,” said Barbara Cole, MIAC General Manager. “Many exhibitors and attendees expressed their desire to see the MIAC/PAL Show staged at a more opportune time. We are now committed to a successful event in May 2010, and we will work tirelessly to make it the best show possible!”
MIAC is a national trade association for the music products and event production technology industries. It currently has more than 300 manufacturers, distributors and retailer members.
