Bureau’s territory encompasses all areas for the eastern region of Quebec and the Maritimes, including Ontario east of Smith Falls, which includes Ottawa.
Bill Coons, director of Contact Distribution, says of Boyce’s appointment, “It’s great to have Harry back on board our team and rejoining our family that all know him so well. Harry’s previous tenure with Contact established him as possibly the most successful western sales representatives we’ve ever had. His depth of knowledge of all things audio is rare to find as is his appreciation for every aspect of the professional audio industry relative to our customers’ business models and how to best service them. Our manufacturers know him from not only his past time with us, but also as a supportive contractor and as a consultant during the past number of years. It’s very gratifying that he sees the opportunities Contact affords the territory and wants to be the one to take these to the marketplace. ”
Boyce adds, “The integrity of the brands is critical and I’ve come to love and trust these guys and their products. I’ve come to know what their commitment to excellence is and it’s important that we’re both adamant about doing the best that can be done. I’m, looking forward to reestablishing some old relationships as well and additionally getting to be of service to a whole new group of acquaintances that are as passionate about audio as I am.”
Based in Montreal, Bureau will be communicating to Contact’s authorized network of contractors and resellers as well as consulting firms, technicians, and significant venue personnel introducing himself and new products/new solutions to the various markets that Contact Distribution services.
Bureau’s past 11 years has been with Solotech Montreal as its senior integration consultant involved in major projects around the world such as At The Top (Burj Khalifa Dubai), NYC Carousel, Atlantic City Alliance Boardwalk permanent video mapping of the historical Boardwalk Hall. Bureau’s diverse carrier experiences in the entertainment area positions him solidly in both live event production and integration projects that utilize his knowledge of audio, video, and lighting.
Coons comments on Bureau’s appointment, “We’ve worked with Marc constantly over his years at Solotech and before that with Audio Concept that have included many of our manufacturers’ products. He’s already got great momentum as he knows what solutions our brands offer, the quality that they represent, and the various application groups that they are applicable to. The usual learning curve for getting a new regional manager up to speed on our catalogue has been accomplished in record time due to Marc’s previous exposure. He’s instantly become a key component in many our customer’s businesses and projects. His enthusiasm, passion and work ethic have been instantly recognized as a significant addition to what Contact already offers our clients. Marc is recognized as a formidable, honourable component in the industry and that’s important moving forward in allowing him to assist all our dealers unilaterally.
Bureau adds, “Working on the distribution side of our industry is a natural progression in my career that allows me to broaden the base of clients and projects that I’ve had success with in the past. Contact has always supported my efforts perfectly in matching the right level of technical support, distinctive quality products and well managed distribution model that offers profitability and efficiency to consultants, dealers and end-users. In retrospect it seems my joining their team was somewhat inevitable.”.
