Erikson Audio Now Canadian Distributor for Ferrofish Products

Ferrofish, a German manufacturer of advanced audio solutions and like the A32 Dante AD/DA converter and Verto Series ADAT /MADI / DANTE network solutions, has named Erikson Audio as its exclusive distributor for Canada.

“We’ve been carrying select Ferrofish models for some time,” says Tim Marshall, product manager for Erikson Audio.  “Their association with RME, another brand we represent in Canada allowed us to handle the occasional Ferrofish sale on a case by case basis.   Now, with a regular stream of new, innovative and well placed products coming from Ferrofish, we saw the opportunity for a more formal distribution relationship with them moving forward.”

The history of Ferrofish can be traced back to 2002, when Jürgen Kindermann started working as a developer for the Creamware Company in Siegburg Germany. For 20 years Creamware produced affordable, market-leading DSP solutions and innovative musical instruments.

In search of a good-sounding converter for his own DSP accelerator card and audio interface, the original A16 19-inch rackmount converter with a pure design, was born. With the A16 launching at an attractive price and taking full advantage of the widely accepted ADAT digital connection, The A16 became a long term sales hit with new versions of it still available today.

“With models like A32 Dante, A16AE, Pulse16 and the new Verto Series Dante, MADI and ADAT converters, not to mention a personal favorite, the MI-Friendly B4000+  B3 simulator,  we see Ferrofish as a perfect fit with Erikson Audio,” adds Mr. Marshall.  “We are very excited about the potential for the brand.”
