David Angress Appointed CEO of Adam Audio Worldwide

Read Wineland Retires from Biamp Systems

Meyer Sound is strengthening its Berkeley, CA in-house marketing team with the addition of two new hires: Amy Huson as director of marketing, business and programs, and Jane Eagleson as public relations manager.

Working closely with sales and business development, Huson will take responsibility for a variety of key marketing areas including the international trade show program, lead generation, channel support efforts, vertical market strategies and website initiatives. Eagleson will be the primary contact for pro audio trade media, support mainstream media outreach, and drive content development.

Bruce Howze, founder of Community Professional Loudspeakers

Audioprof Group International has acquired a majority share in Community Professional Loudspeakers, a U.S.-based loudspeaker manufacturer with global sales activities.

Community was founded in 1968 by Bruce Howze and became known for, among other things, creating the world’s first dedicated midrange compression driver, the M4, and the first lightweight fiberglass horns. Community designs and manufactures indoor and outdoor loudspeakers  for applications in extreme and challenging environments. Community’s recent installations include Commonwealth Stadium in Canada, Arena Lublin in Poland, St. Paul Union Depot in Minnesota, and World Cup venues in Brazil.

Jean-Louis Blanchard presents a plaque of recognition to Ron Morissette

After a long and successful career that led Solotech’s Ron Morissette to be in involved in virtually every aspect of the entertainment industry, he recently announced that he has chosen to retire from the industry.

Over the last four decades Morissette has been at the forefront of innovations that have significantly advanced the fields of entertainment and audiovisual technology.  In 2008 he joined Solotech in the role of general manager of corporate development. In that capacity he was one of the prime movers of the expansion policy across Canada for Solotech’s Integration Division.  More recently, Morissette put all of his energy into the start-up of a Solotech office in Toronto.
