Metalworks Institute Introduces New Digital Music Production Program

MetalworksMississauga, ON’s Metalworks Institute is offering a new, specialty diploma program in Digital Music Production.

HHB Canada Announces Inaugural Universal Audio Users Group

HHB Communications Canada has announced the first Universal Audio users group, Group UA – Canada. The inaugural meeting will be held at Revolution Recording in Toronto on Sept. 12, 2013, at 7 p.m.

Group UA is an opportunity for likeminded users of Universal Audio’s software and hardware to come together for panel discussions with industry professionals who are willing to share their techniques and experiences with UA gear.

Alan Parsons Master Class Session Coming To Toronto

Nimbus Launches Hip Hop Production Program

The Nimbus School of Recoding Arts has launched a one-year music production program designed to teach skills specific to producing hip hop and urban music.

The Beats & Urban Music Production (BUMP) was designed in partnership with Grammy Award winning producer & songwriter Chin Injeti, who won for his work on the Eminem album Recovery. Chin has also worked with 50 Cent, Drake, Clipse, Esthero, DJ Khalil, 88 Keys, Organized Noize, and more. (more…)

Primacoustic Clinics Coming Across Ontario In May

Jay Porter, Primacoustic Product Specialist, will be hosting Primacoustic clinics at various schools and music stores across Ontario in mid-May.

His clinics offer tips and techniques to turn any room into an effective workspace and how to acoustically treat a studio. He will discuss several acoustic problems and solutions including primary reflections, flutter echo, standing waves, and excessive bass. He will also demonstrate Primacoustic room kits, bass traps, diffusers, and clouds.

During his work as a sound engineer he designed, built, and managed recording studios before relocating to British Columbia and joining Radial Engineering and Primacoustic.
