The annual general meeting will return to an AGM Luncheon on Friday.

GerrAudio has announced it will co-host two separate events featuring Gabriel Antonini from DPA Microphones.
Day 1 (July 19) Gabriel will be part of The Sound Summit – Toronto. Co-sponsored by DPA, LectroSonic, K-Tek and SoundDevices, The Sound Summit travels across North America and is focused on Location Sound. Experts from each of the sponsoring companies will be on-hand.
The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) is currently accepting speaking proposals for the 2016 NAB Show New York, held Nov. 9-10 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. NAB Show New York is a media, entertainment and communications technology event, focusing on content creation, management, delivery, and consumption.
The 2016 North American Theatre Engineering and Architecture Conference (NATEAC) is set to take place in New York City on July 17-18 at the Roosevelt Hotel. It will bring together over 300 professionals in the architectural, engineering, manufacturing, and consulting fields to discuss the issues faced in designing and building performance venues in North America in the 21st century.

The Toronto section of the Audio Engineering Society (AES) will be heading to McMaster University’s LIVELab on Tuesday, May 31st, for an interesting peak at the researchers’ unique work looking into the effects of music and sound on the brain, as well as the audio technology in the facility. CITT/ICTS is expanding the exhibition space for the second annual Expo-Scène trade show and conference, which is returning to Montreal from May 2-3, 2016, a month later than last year’s event.
There will be 50 per cent more space at the Palais des congrès de Montréal and organizers expect to welcome over 1,000 professional attendees. Seminars and workshops will cover health and safety, new and future technologies, and real-world technical advice.
AV integration and full-service event production company Westbury National will welcome more than 50 exhibitors and 500 guests to experience some of the latest AV technology solutions for event producers and corporate A/V professionals at the Imagine technology showcase and networking event on March 9th from 1-9 p.m. This year the event moves to the Mattamy Athletic Centre (formerly Maple Leafs Gardens) in downtown Toronto.
Imagine is billed as the only event of its kind in Toronto where event producers and corporate A/V professionals come together to see, touch and interact with the latest in event and audiovisual technology.

The show will host over 50 Canadian and American exhibitors at the Palais des congrès de Montréal. The exhibiting companies cover all areas of the industry, including: audio-visual and screens; lighting; multimedia; pro audio and sound; staging equipment; special effects; and associations, education, and publishing. Likewise, over 1,000 professional attendees are from Eastern Canada and the U.S. are expected, according to organizers.
The Toronto chapter of the AES is organizing as trip to the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY for Saturday, April 23, 2016. The trip will include a facility tour of the school’s three concert/recital halls and their inter-connection to a sophisticated recording control facility. There will also be a retrospective of the famed Summer Recording Institute, with former students and teachers sharing their memories and impressions.
