Colin Beveridge, CEO of d&b Corporation since its inception in the mid 1990s has transferred his responsibilities for d&b audiotechnik in the Americas to the next generation as part of a planned retirement. Following the transition, Beveridge will remain on board as senior strategic advisor for the management team in the Americas and company headquarters in Backnang, Germany.

Erikson Audio Now Canadian Distributor for Ferrofish Products

Ferrofish, a German manufacturer of advanced audio solutions and like the A32 Dante AD/DA converter and Verto Series ADAT /MADI / DANTE network solutions, has named Erikson Audio as its exclusive distributor for Canada.

“We’ve been carrying select Ferrofish models for some time,” says Tim Marshall, product manager for Erikson Audio.  “Their association with RME, another brand we represent in Canada allowed us to handle the occasional Ferrofish sale on a case by case basis.   Now, with a regular stream of new, innovative and well placed products coming from Ferrofish, we saw the opportunity for a more formal distribution relationship with them moving forward.”

Dynaudio, the Danish high-end loudspeaker specialist, and its newly appointed CEO for North and South America, Andrew Werdean, has announced a number of key promotions, a new hire, extension of the Dynaudio reseller network, and strategic initiatives designed to build the company’s presence and improve the customer experience.

Werdean, who previously served as vice president of sales for the company’s North American business, is a CE leader whose 30 years of industry experience includes work with well-known manufacturers such as RTI, Klipsch, and Jamo, as well as the establishment of two successful installation companies. In leading the Dynaudio sales efforts, he has focused on extending the company’s integration business while overseeing marketing and product management.

Kinesys & Drifter Rigging to Host Demo Day in Toronto

KinesysAutomation specialist Kinesys is staging its first product awareness demonstration in Canada on July 8th, 2017. The goal is to make people aware that Kinesys products have “officially landed” in Canada and are available through Toronto’s Drifter Rigging.

The Demo Day is a collaboration between David Bond, who runs Kinesys’ North American operation, and Mark “Drifter” Desloges from Drifter Rigging, a new rental operation recently established in Toronto with a selection of Kinesys equipment. It will be held in a warehouse facility at 100 Carson St., Unit A, in Etobicoke.

InfoComm Show Experiences 14% Attendance Increase

InfoComm, North America’s largest audiovisual trade show, welcomed more than 40,000 visitors for the first time in its history.

“It’s a watershed year for InfoComm,” says Jason McGraw, senior VP of expositions for InfoComm International. “The technology on display was amazing again, and we’re thrilled with the tremendous response, but we’re especially excited that guest after guest told us this InfoComm offered new and different experiences for our growing, innovative audience.”

By the time the doors closed for the week, InfoComm 2017 had logged 44,077 registered attendees, 13 per cent more than the last time it was held in Orlando, FL, in 2015, and 14 per cent more than InfoComm 2016 in Las Vegas.

Riedel Communications North America Promotes Jake Halverson to Operations Manager

He will also oversee logistics and sales administration, facilitating communication between departments.

TOA Canada Corporation, manufacturer of commercial audio and intercom products, has announced the appointment of Rico Lucia to director for TOA Canada Corporation.

In April 2017, Canada became one of only three TOA subsidiaries across the world to have a director appointed, joining South Africa and Hong Kong. The corporation has only appointed directors one other time in its history, in Europe. This alignment is part of TOA Corporation’s strategic business plan allowing subsidiaries have more autonomy within their region.
