Rycote, the U.K.-based manufacturer of microphone windshields and suspension systems, has announced the appointment of Audio Distributors International (ADI) as its new Canadian distributor.

Registration is now open for the third annual IMSTA FESTA Toronto show, which is heading back to Ryerson University on Saturday Oct. 15, 2016. As well, organizers have annoucned that Canadian hip-hop producer Boi-1da’s keynote address and Q&A will headline the educational program. Presented by the International Music Software Trade Association (IMSTA), the IMSTA FESTA events are held annually in Toronto, Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles and showcase the latest music-making and production technologies as well as educational seminars and keynotes speeches and Q&As.

Mira Wölfel Named Head of Sales & Planning Department at Musikmesse & Prolight + Sound

She is now responsible for the sales activities, customer support, and planning and organisation of the two fairs with particular emphasis given to opening up new markets and customer segments. In this position, Wölfel reports to Michael Biwer, Group Show Director of the ‘Entertainment, Media & Creative Industries’ Business Unit.

Wölfel studied International Relations at Saint Joseph University in Beirut and has been with the Messe Frankfurt Group since 2005. She initially worked in the Visitor Services Department before moving to sales in 2011. As sales manager in the ‘Consumer Goods’ Business Unit, she was responsible for the consumer-goods fair, Ambiente, and the related Tendence trade fair. In July 2015, she moved to the Prolight + Sound Sales Team where, most recently, she was in charge of the audio section.

MUSIC Group has hired Paul Bauman as Director of Product Portfolio – Touring Sound, which includes the companies brands Turbosound, Lab Gruppen, Lake, Midas, and Klark Teknik.

Bauman, who is originally from Toronto and formerly led product development for JBL Professional’s and L-Acoustics’ touring sound speaker divisions, says, “My priority is to reawaken Turbosound by leveraging the incredible power and passion of MUSIC’s 4,000-people organization together with its industry leading technologies of Lab Gruppen, Lake, and Midas. I am extremely excited to be part of a mission to design the most innovative and end-to-end solutions for our customers.”

LDI Show to Bring Production & Live Event Industry to Vegas

14 LDIThe 2016 LDI Show is set to return to the Las Vegas Convention Center from Oct. 17-23, 2016.

Now in its 29th year, LDI will host over 12,000 attendees working in theatre, concerts, clubs, theme parks, houses of worship, and a wide range of international live and broadcast venues. Attendees from around 90 countries will come to LDI to see the latest gear, refresh their knowledge, and replenish their creativity. More than 350 companies are set to exhibit this year, providing live demos and the opportunity for face-to-face discussions about their products and technologies.

AtlasIED now the Exclusive North American Distributor of Fohhn
