Jim Rhodes Joins Radial in Artist Relations

Jim RhodesRadial Engineering has announced that Jim Rhodes has joined the Vancouver-based team in Artist Relations.

Radial President Peter Janis says, “Radial just keeps growing year-over-year and the list of artists and engineers we work with continues to follow suit. We decided it was time to hire for this role to support the fostering and managing of these relationships. Jim will also take over the task of getting our products to magazines for their review columns. Jim is no stranger to Radial having worked very briefly for our nascent company Cabletek, now known as Radial, over 20 years ago and we are excited to have him be part of our team.”

AES Appoints John Krivit as New President

The Audio Engineering Society (AES) has announced the appointment of new president John Krivit,  who takes over the leadership role from Andres Mayo. Previously Krivit served as chair of the AES Education Committee and is currently an Associate Professor teaching at Emerson College and Bay State College in Boston.

Krivit was voted president-elect of the AES in 2014 and has served on the executive committee of the board of governors over the last year. Beyond his experience in the studio and classroom, Krivit is known as a tireless connector of the professional audio and education worlds.  He is the founder of the Boston Area Definitive Audio Student Summit and of Hey Audio Student, a public Facebook group with more than 8,000 members that chronicles the events, resources, and opportunities available to audio students at all levels. Now in his 20th year of teaching, his students have gone on to do award-winning work in all facets of the audio and broadcast industries.

Shure Incorporated has announced that president and CEO Santo (Sandy) LaMantia intends to retire, effective July 1, 2016.

As part of a planned succession, he and Rose L. Shure, chairman, will appoint current executive vice president of global operations, marketing, and sales and COO Christine (Chris) Schyvinck to succeed him as president and CEO. On Jan. 1, 2016, Schyvinck will take on the added title of president, and will serve in this role until her appointment as president and CEO on July 1, 2016.

Renkus-Heinz today announced that company president Roscoe Anthony has decided to resign from his position, effective immediately.
