Neutrik Promotes Chris Neethling to Chief Sales Officer

CNeethling_HiNeutrik has announced that Chris Neethling, formerly Global Financial Manager for Neutrik USA, has been promoted to Chief Sales Officer of the entire Neutrik Group. He joined Neutrik USA in 2009.

In his prior role at Neutrik USA, Neethling coordinated global pricing and logistics for Neutrik’s international customers based in the U.S. Additionally, he supervised the Neutrik USA’s financial, warehousing, supply chain management and I.T. functions. In his new role as Chief Sales Officer, reporting directly to the CEO of the Neutrik group, Chris will expand his coordination of global sales activities to encompass all of Neutrik’s cross-border sales activities. Additionally, he will be responsible for the marketing activities of Neutrik worldwide. He will step away from his other existing functions at Neutrik USA as he transitions into his new role.

Component-cablesInfoComm International has announced the publication of a new audiovisual standard, Cable Labeling for Audiovisual Systems (CLAS). The new standard defines requirements for labeling cables used in installed AV systems and provides guidance for the easy identification of all power and signal paths in a completed system. Proper cable labeling aids in the operation, support, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AV systems.

Forsythe, one of the original founders of EAW, has spent his career advancing loudspeaker technology and design. Open Control Architecture is standardized as AES70

Open Control Architecture (OCA) – an open control and monitoring standard for professional audio and AV media network devices – has been officially standardized on 4 January 2016 by the Audio Engineering Society Standards Committee (AESSC) in the newly published AES70-2015 standard for audio applications of networks – Open Control Architecture. With the ratification of OCA as AES70, it is now an official public open standard.

VUE Audiotechnik Hires Industry Veteran Greg Kirkland for Technical Sales

VUE Audiotechnik has added Greg Kirkland to its technical sales team. Kirkland brings with him more than 30 years of experience in sound system design and engineering and his appointment will expand VUE’s technical support for larger design firms and projects.

Kirkland has been responsible for designing, installing, and programming audio systems in World-class performance venues as well as engineering live shows throughout Europe, the Middle East and Asia. He has mixed tours for Liza Minnelli, Andy Williams, Burt Bacharach, Julie Andrews, Rosemary Clooney and Creedence Clearwater Revisited, among others.

Radial Wins British Columbia Export Award

Radial Engineering has been selected the winner of the 2015 British Columbia Export Award in the Digital Media & Entertainment Category.

Awarded by the Provincial government and the BC Division of Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters trade and industry association, Radial was among over 400 nominated businesses being considered for 12 award categories. This is the first nomination and win for Radial for a BC Export Award. Radial President Peter Janis accepted the award presented on Nov. 20th in Vancouver.

Peavey Selects B&J Music as Canadian Distributor

Peavey Electronics, which until now distributed directly into Canada, has announced the appointment of B&J Music as its new distributor for the Canadian market. B&J Music, a division of JAM, will be the new Canadian distributor for the Peavey, Composite Acoustics, Trace Elliot, and Budda lines. The agreement was confirmed recently after discussions amongst JAM President Martin Szpiro, VP Jeff Carman, B&J VP David McAllister, and Peavey COO Courtland Gray, GM of North American Sales Fred Poole, and Hartley Peavey, Peavey Electronics’ founder.
