Victoria Parker Joins AVL as Ontario Rep

Peavey Once Again Selling Direct to Dealers in Canada

PeaveyHeadquarters-300x100Peavey Electronics has announced that it will now sell direct to Canadian dealers. The company will now process orders directly from their Meridian, MS, corporate office and fulfill orders from their new warehouse hub in Ontario. The change is effective immediately and will also include the Peavey owned brands Trace Elliot, Budda, and Composite Acoustics.

Peavey COO Courtland Gray comments, “The opportunity to go direct to dealers allows Peavey to further expand our presence and provide better pricing throughout our full line of amplification and instrument brands. We look forward to once again having a direct connection with our dealer network in Canada.”

Initial orders can be placed directly with the Meridian, MS HQ and Peavey will roll out incentive programs to begin fulfillment to the dealers later this month.

New Pro Audio Segment Propels The 2018 NAMM Show

The musical instrument, pro audio, and event technology industries came together in Anaheim, CA for The NAMM Show 2018, which was held from Jan. 25-28 at the Anaheim Convention Center and surrounding area. With an increased presence from production technologies exhibitors and attendees, this year’s show was crossroads of business opportunities with countless product debuts, over 500 educational sessions, and 115,085 registered industry professionals roaming the halls, marking a nine per cent increase over 2017.

Powersoft Opens to HQ in New York

kp2Powersoft, a maker energy-efficient amplifier platforms, has opened a new headquarters location in the New York Metro area. The new 3,700-sq.- ft. facility, located in Kearney Point, NJ — just minutes from Manhattan and regional transportation hubs — will house Powersoft’s operations, sales, support, warehousing, and distribution for U.S. and Canada. The new east coast North American headquarters location is also logistically advantageous to the Powersoft executive team, which is served by frequent direct flights from Italy into Newark Liberty International Airport. The reduced time difference enables more direct communication among the executive team at Powersoft to better support the business, according to the company.

Chris Pagella has been promoted to Director of Operations and will oversee the Engineering department, as well as the management of Manufacturing and supply chain. Pagella joined Audix in 2014 as Control and Purchasing Manager.

WFW Expands February Freeze to Two Days

10 Feb FreezeWilliam F. White is preparing to host the 17th annual edition of February Freeze. This technology showcase is a pre-NAB exhibit that lets production professionals navigate the latest innovations and technologies while connecting with one another. This year, the event has expanded to two days, Feb. 6th and 7th, and will once again be held at the William F. White Centre in Toronto.

Day one of February Freeze, from 1-9 p.m., will host the expected technological showcase with over 50 varied vendors on site. That day there will also industry panels and an interactive set. Day two will include a full day of scheduled programming with educational product demonstrations from equipment developers from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Educational Schedule Released for Expo-Scène 2018

CITT/ICTS is preparing to welcome the Canadian entertainment industry to Montreal for the fourth annual Expo-Scène trade show and conference, which is returning to the Palais des congrès de Montréal from March 28-29, 2018. Expo-Scène is currently the only major Canadian event dedicated to professionals in the pro audio, sound, lighting, audiovisual, video, and multimedia technology markets.

Organizers say this year’s sold out show has expanded in size with a bigger hall and more exhibit space, which will host more than 70 exhibitors showcasing hundreds of products and new technologies. They are expecting around 1,500 attendees from around North America.
