One of North America’s top casinos, Casino Rama, of Rama, ON, has upgraded it’s Entertainment Centre with two Midas mixing consoles; the Midas Heritage 3000 48 mono/8 stereo and the Midas Heritage 4000 56 mono/8 stereo. “Every monitor engineer that walks in here loves Midas. It’s one of the few consoles they can walk up to and scratch together a mix before their band even walks on stage,” said Al McAuley, Crew Audio Technician for Casino Rama. “They know everything will be in its place, and they know exactly what they’ll get out of it.”
Casino Rama has been the venue where artists such as Sheryl Crow, Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, Gretchen Wilson and Larry The Cable Guy have performed. Perry Disera, Crew Audio Technician says that the Casino Rama Entertainment Centre is 40,000 square feet and features retractable soft seat sections. The versatility of the set up allows for virtually any kind of event, from rock bands to dinner theatre to symphony. He says, “The addition of the Midas consoles is just one more step towards streamlining the overall audio functionality here. Midas is the most requested console on artist tech riders for a reason: using Midas allows us, as well as touring engineers, to do our jobs with ease and create a mix that is true and without unwanted colouring.”
